The State Duma spoke about the growing prestige of the professions of welder and driver

In Russia, there has been an increase in the prestige of professions such as welders, drivers, and turners. This was announced on March 16 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"In February 2026, the interest in the workforce increased. According to the Ministry of Labor, the rating of the most sought—after professions includes welders, turners, foremen of general construction works, drivers of trucks or special vehicles," he wrote on the IACH.
