An anticyclone is expected to affect Moscow in the coming days, which will ensure dry and sunny weather in the capital region. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, told Izvestia about this on March 16.

According to her, atmospheric pressure in the region will remain elevated, and frosts are expected at night due to clear weather.

"The prevailing temperature in Moscow at night will be negative — from about 0 to -3 degrees. A decrease to -6 degrees is possible in the region. During the day, the temperature will stay within +11...+12 degrees for almost the entire period," the forecaster noted.

Pozdnyakova stressed that such indicators remain above the climatic norm by about 6-8 degrees. During the daytime, the weather will be mostly sunny and without precipitation. At the same time, on March 20, according to the expert, slight changes in weather conditions are possible.

"When the anticyclones change, clouds may increase in places and light precipitation in the form of rain is possible. However, it is possible that the change of anticyclones will take place without precipitation," she explained.

In general, as the forecaster noted, comfortable and dry weather will remain in the metropolitan region at least until Sunday.

Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said on March 14 that the snow could completely melt in Moscow by April 12, and during the week from March 16 to March 22, the height of snow formations would decrease by 20 cm. By the end of the month, precipitation will vary in the range of no more than 10-15 cm.
