In Moscow on Monday, March 16, record warm and dry weather is expected — up to +11 degrees. This was told by Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather center.

"Low-cloud weather will remain, precipitation is excluded. The air temperature is +9...+11 degrees. It is possible to repeat the record of 2015, when it was +10.3 [degrees] on this day," he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

The expert clarified that this situation will be caused by the western periphery of the Asian anticyclone, which is expected to fix in the designated area. It is noted that in the time range in question, south and south-easterly winds will blow at speeds from 1 to 6 m/s, and the atmospheric pressure will be 754 mmHg.

Tishkovets said that such non-stop, mostly clear weather will remain in the capital until Thursday, and by the end of the week it may deteriorate.

"At dusk, it will freeze to 0...-3 degrees, at the peak of the maximum daytime warming, the thermometer will range from +9 to +12 degrees," he summed up.

A day earlier, Tishkovets said that the snow could completely melt in Moscow by April 12, and during the week from March 16 to March 22, the height of snow formations would decrease by 20 cm. By the end of the month, precipitation will vary in the range of no more than 10-15 cm.
