Air defense systems destroyed five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the Ulyanovsk region. This was announced on March 16 by the governor of the region Alexey Russian.

"Five enemy UAVs over the territory of the Ulyanovsk region were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty. The crash site was recorded on the territory of the Cherdaklinsky district," the Telegram channel said.

According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. Special services officers are working at the scene.

The new tactic makes it possible to avoid the detonation of army equipment by mines and land mines.

The Governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, announced earlier that day that the air defense forces were repelling an attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones on Sevastopol. It was clarified that two drones were intercepted. No damage was recorded on the ground.
