The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use homemade mines disguised as vegetation. This was announced on March 16 by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Unit (UAV) of the Marine Corps, acting in the interests of the Center group of forces, with the call sign Predator.

"Moving towards the positions, improvised flower mines were found along the road," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

As the fighter noted, these are a metal cone with explosives inside. According to him, the detonation of such a device occurs when the magnetic field changes, since there is a magnetic fuse inside the mine.

On March 13, the operator of the reconnaissance UAV of the 18th combined arms army of the Dnepr group of forces of the Russian Federation with the call sign Viking reported that in Kherson, the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants were using civilians as a "human shield." According to him, the enemy is hiding in residential buildings where people live.
