The average pension size in Russia in January became known

The average amount of pensions awarded in Russia in January 2026 reached 25,255 rubles. It follows from RIA Novosti's calculations based on official statistics on March 16.

Pension payments increased by 9% compared to the same period last year. In January 2025, the average pension was 23,175 rubles, and in 2026 it increased to 25,255 rubles. Thus, the increase for the year reached 2,080 rubles. According to the results of the entire 2025 year, the average amount of pension payments in the country amounted to 23,425 rubles.
