Private Andrey Pimenov discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the positions of Russian units and destroyed it with small arms fire in the area of a special military operation. This was announced on March 16 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

While performing the task of monitoring the air situation in the sector, Pimenov saw an unidentified UAV. After making sure that no Russian drones were operating in the area, the soldier took the target for escort. When the UAV approached the affected area, the private opened fire with a weapon and destroyed the enemy drone.

After the drone was eliminated, the unit promptly changed its position. Some time later, the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) struck at the original location of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Thanks to his professional skills and the professional use of personal small arms, Pimenov managed to prevent the threat and save the lives of his comrades.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the combat skills of Junior Sergeant Viktor Barboev. The sergeant performed tasks in one of the important areas. His duties included searching for targets, correcting the fire of artillery and tank units, and video monitoring the results of the destruction of enemy personnel, equipment, and facilities.

During the aerial reconnaissance, Barboev discovered a camouflaged platoon strongpoint of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where a mortar crew position was located. The junior sergeant promptly transmitted the coordinates to the command post, after which he adjusted the artillery fire.

Thanks to Barboev's combat skills and competent actions, the enemy's crew was destroyed by an accurate artillery strike.

On March 15, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Senior Sergeant Alvydas Launikonis joined the battle and eliminated two militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with targeted fire in the area of their military operation. The ministry also noted the combat skills of Private Alexander Vasinsky, who performed the tasks of delivering logistical equipment to Russian units located on the line of combat contact.
