The gunners of the North group of forces are actively working to destroy Ukrainian drones and sabotage groups in the Sumy area. In the conditions of spring mud, they use ATVs and howitzers mounted on tanks, which makes it possible to effectively overcome difficult areas. In an interview with Izvestia, the fighters told about their combat work in the SVO zone.

The gunners are firing from closed positions, constantly changing them to prevent the enemy from identifying the location. Interaction with intelligence and the command post helps to quickly transmit information through encrypted communication channels, which increases the accuracy of strikes. In one of the episodes, the crew successfully destroyed the control point of the Ukrainian drones by firing two targeted shots.

According to the Russian military, they are working on all types of targets, including enemy control points and positions associated with the use of drones. The gunners note that successful counter-battery warfare makes it possible to significantly weaken the enemy and facilitate the advance of Russian troops at the forefront.

"We are working in the village of Miropole. There are a lot of UAV control points, the enemy launches it both in our direction and to the side, into the deep rear, so to speak, into our deep rear. <...> The enemy is pulling reserves, but these reserves, as a rule, are still hit by us," said Tatyana Simonenkova, commander of the first firing platoon of the 10th self—propelled artillery Regiment of the 44th Army Corps, a senior battery officer with the call sign Lipa, in an interview with Izvestia correspondent.

With each shot, the tactics of the North group of forces confirm their effectiveness. All attempts by the enemy to put pressure using drones are met with a powerful response, and each successful operation brings its own results, helping to contain the offensive and creating advantages for the assault groups.

On March 14, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that mobile groups of the BARS volunteer brigade, part of the North group of forces in the Kursk Region, were performing a set of security tasks in the border areas. The units operate both in the rear and on the front line, with the peak activity of combat missions at night.
