Orban accused Brussels of preparing Europe for war with Russia
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on March 15 that the leaders of the European Union (EU) are preparing for war with Russia and do not want an end to the conflict in Ukraine.
"Difficult times are coming, war is coming. The European Union has already switched to a military economy and intends to send more money, weapons and soldiers to Ukraine. We cannot predict when the first EU soldier will be in Ukraine, but it is inevitable, and we need to stay away from it," Orban said in his speech at an anti—war rally in Budapest after the Peace March.
The head of government stressed that Hungarians know what war is and do not want a similar fate for their children.
"We do not want such a fate for our children," he added, also assuring that Hungarian youth will build their lives in Hungary, and not die for Ukraine.
Thousands of people held a Peace March in support of Orban's policies in the center of Budapest on March 15. The main slogan of the action is "We will not be a Ukrainian colony."
On March 14, Orban thanked God that Russia is not an enemy of his state. In addition, he asked to tell the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, that he would achieve nothing with blackmail and threats.
