Gazprom warned Europe about difficulties for the upcoming gas injection season

Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said on March 15 that gas reserves in the European countries, which are leading in consumption, are below the EU average, which creates serious difficulties for the upcoming pumping season into underground storage facilities.

"Despite the warm weather in Europe, gas extraction from underground storage facilities continues, and the overall level of reserves has decreased to 29%," he is quoted as saying on Gazprom's Telegram channel.

He stressed that in the underground storage facilities of the largest gas-consuming countries, the level of reserves is significantly lower than the EU average, which complicates preparations for the next pumping season.

Gazprom announced yesterday that the level of reserves in European underground gas storage facilities (UGS) has reached its lowest level since the beginning of the season. The company noted that all the gas pumped into Europe's UGS facilities in preparation for winter was taken away in February. Now there is a selection process from the reserves of previous years.
