Zelensky imposed sanctions against 48 companies from Russia and other countries
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions against 48 companies from Russia, Iran and China, as well as 140 citizens from these countries, including Paralympians. This became known on March 15 from a decree published on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
"To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated March 14, 2026 on the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures," the text says.
The sanctions imposed by Kiev include the blocking of assets on the territory of Ukraine, the termination of official visits, trade agreements, cultural exchanges and scientific cooperation, as well as the cancellation of licenses. Individuals who are on the sanctions lists are stripped of all Ukrainian state awards.
On February 21, Zelensky signed decrees imposing personal sanctions against 82 Russian citizens and 44 Russian organizations. According to the documents, 44 companies and 46 Russians, who, according to Kiev, are allegedly involved in servicing the Russian military-industrial complex, fell under the first restrictive measures.
