The UAV attack on Moscow has become the largest since the beginning of the year

Attack of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Moscow region has become the largest since the beginning of 2026. This follows from the calculations of TASS on March 15.

Earlier it became known that the number of drones destroyed on approach to the capital increased to 65.

It is specified that the last time such large-scale drone attacks were recorded was in 2025. So, on the evening of December 10 and on the night of December 11, Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted 32 aircraft heading towards the capital.

The previous major incident occurred on October 27: 32 drones flying towards Moscow were destroyed during the day, and five more vehicles were shot down the night before. Prior to that, in September, another significant attack was recorded in the skies over the Moscow region: from the evening of September 22 to the beginning of the day on September 23, a total of 46 drones were shot down, of which 31 were during September 23.

On the same day, Sobyanin announced the interception of 15 more drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Before that, the air defense forces shot down three more drones.
