Two people died as a result of a fire in a private semi-detached apartment building in Barnaul. This was reported on March 15 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Altai Territory.

"In the city of Barnaul, a fire broke out in a private semi-detached apartment building. <...> The dead were found at the scene — a man and a woman," the message on the VK channel says.

According to the press service, three people also evacuated from the house on their own.

It is specified that the fire was localized on an area of about 100 square meters. m. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire may be improper use of electrical equipment. By the time the fire and rescue units arrived, the fire had spread to the walls, ceiling, and roof of the building.

On March 13, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Udmurt Republic reported that three people, including one child, died as a result of a fire in a private house in the city of Sarapul. It is specified that as a result of the incident, one person was also injured.
