Former General of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Grigory Omelchenko, who had previously threatened Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, demanded the resignation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on March 12.

"Vladimir, I'm talking to you about your age, like I'm talking to my son. My recommendation once again is to come at the next plenary session and read out a statement of voluntary resignation in beautiful Ukrainian," Omelchenko said on his YouTube channel.

The ex-general reminded Zelensky of the latter's promise to resign if he violates the law. According to Omelchenko, the Ukrainian leader violated the constitution over 30 times, and the law up to a hundred times.

Omelchenko also called Zelensky the "godfather of the Krivoy Rog "green mafia," accusing him of money laundering through the company Green Family Ltd and recalled his involvement in the "corruption case of businessman Timur Mindich."

On March 9, Russian law enforcement agencies reported that criticism of Zelensky was intensifying amid discussions about the possible deployment of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to the Middle East. According to the source, the issue of the possible participation of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in a potential ground operation in the Middle East is currently being considered.

After threats from Omelchenko, Orban called his mother and daughters on March 11 and asked them not to worry about him. According to him, his family members are fine.
