The export of shoes from the USA to Russia has reached its highest level since 2002

Shoe shipments from the United States to Russia in January reached the highest level for this month since 2002. This was reported on March 14 by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the American statistical service.

According to published information, at the beginning of the year, American companies exported shoes worth about $1.8 million to the Russian market. Compared to the same period last year, the indicator has approximately tripled. In January 2025, the volume of supplies amounted to $596.8 thousand.

The calculations show that the current level of exports was the highest for January since 2002. Earlier statistics are not available in the department's open data.

In January, Russia entered the top ten largest buyers of American shoes, taking the last place with a share of about 1.9% of total shipments. Vietnam, Canada and Mexico took the leading positions.

The government launched an experiment, during which it turned out that Moscow is a leader in the manufacture of these products.

On March 3, the press service of Agroexport told Izvestia that in 2025, Russian exports of meat and edible meat offal updated a record, reaching almost $2.2 billion. It is noted that shipments increased by 21% compared to 2024. Poultry and pork accounted for 44% of the supply structure, while beef accounted for 12%.
