The Grand Prix stages of the Formula 1 World Championship in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia have been canceled due to the situation in the Middle East. This was announced on March 15 on the website of the Formula 1 press service with reference to the president and CEO of the championship Stefano Domenicali.

"Although it was a difficult decision, unfortunately, at this stage it is the right one, given the current situation in the Middle East," Domenicali said.

It is specified that the stages of the Formula 2, Formula 3 and F1 Academy championships will also not take place at the scheduled time.

Earlier, on March 14, British pilot George Russell won the Chinese Grand Prix, the second stage of the Formula 1 championship in the 2026 season. Ferrari driver Charles Leclair took second place, and Lewis Hamilton from the same team took third place.
