Araqchi said Iran was ready to make concessions before the US attack
The Iranian side was ready to make concessions in the nuclear sphere before the attack by the United States, but Washington is distorting Tehran's position. This was announced on March 14 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
"I never said that we were going to make bombs. I said that we have 440 kg of material enriched to 60%. <...> I said, look, it's mentioned in the report. If you enrich it further, it could be enough for 10 bombs, according to your own experts. Therefore, we are ready to give them up and give them away. We are ready to dilute them, to reduce their degree of enrichment," Araqchi said in an interview with the MS Now TV channel.
The Iranian Foreign minister added that, speaking about Iran's readiness to abandon the existing materials, he wanted to show that Tehran's concession was "really great."
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on March 9 that the goal of the United States mission in Iran is to destroy Tehran's ability to launch missiles. He stressed that the operation is carried out with "overwhelming force and high precision."
Alexey Likhachev, the head of Rosatom, said at interdepartmental consultations with the IAEA on March 13 that he had never seen signs of Iran developing nuclear weapons. According to him, there is no confirmation that development is underway in Iran, either officially or "out of feeling."
