- The coach spoke about the reasons for the arrival of the suspect in the murder of a football player in Moscow.
Evgeny Averyanov, coach of the Ural football club, told Izvestia on March 14 that Daniil Sekach, 20, a suspect in the murder of a woman in northwestern Moscow, had asked to leave for the capital to resolve issues at the university.
According to the coach, the player left on Thursday, March 12. The athlete was expected back on Monday, March 16.
"He is the most calm person possible. It doesn't fit in my head that Daniel could do something like that," Averyanov shared.
On March 14, a woman's body with multiple injuries and a safe with signs of forced entry were found in an apartment on Stroginsky Boulevard. It was previously established that the victim's daughter became a victim of telephone fraudsters who introduced themselves as law enforcement officers and demanded to open the door to their "employee" to conduct operational search activities. Investigators and criminologists continue to inspect the scene, interrogate witnesses, study the recordings from the cameras and identify possible accomplices to the crime. The criminal case is being investigated under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
Later, a suspect in the murder of a woman in the north-west of Moscow was detained. He turned out to be a native of Kislovodsk, born in 2005. According to the Izvestia source, the killer is a football player. Daniil S. studied at the Lokomotiv Academy. He's playing for Ural right now. In 2019, the young man's family was involved in an accident — everyone survived.
