The famous sociologist and philosopher Jurgen Habermas has died in Germany at the age of 96. The death of the thinker was announced on March 14 by the Suhrkamp publishing house.
"Jurgen Habermas died today in Starnberg at the age of 96," the publisher said in a statement on the Bluesky platform.
Habermas was considered one of the most influential philosophers of our time, a representative of the Frankfurt School. His works covered the theory of communicative action, the public sphere, and the ethics of discourse.
