Biathlete Khalili won the sprint at the Russian Championships
On March 14, the Russian Biathlon Championship was held in Tyumen, where Karim Khalili won the 10 km sprint race. He covered the distance in 24 minutes, 48.1 seconds, without making a single miss on two firing lines.
The second place was taken by Roman Eremin, who was 21.5 seconds behind and made two mistakes. Alexander Povarnitsyn became the third, who finished with a gap of 45.7 seconds and one miss.
The men's and women's pursuit races will take place on Sunday. The tournament will end on March 22.
On March 1, Khalili won a large Crystal Globe for winning the Russian Biathlon Cup. He took first place in the mass start at the Zlatoust stage, which was the final of the 2025/26 season. He scored 496 points in 11 races and won the overall standings.
