Poland has scrambled fighter jets and put its air defense systems on alert, allegedly because of Russia's activity in Ukraine. This was announced on March 14 by the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces on the social network X (former. Twitter).

"Military aircraft have begun operating in Polish airspace," the statement said.

At the same time, ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were put on high alert. The command explained that such measures are preventive in nature and are aimed at ensuring the security of territories bordering vulnerable areas.

Before that, Poland had already flown fighter jets on February 7, allegedly because of Russia's activity. It was clarified that Polish and allied aircraft are in the air, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems have been upgraded to the highest level of readiness. The military stressed that they continue to closely monitor the situation in the region.
