Greece announced an attack on the tanker Maran Homer in the Black Sea

The tanker Maran Homer, owned by Greece, was attacked in the Black Sea at a distance of 14 nautical miles from Novorossiysk. This was announced by the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy of Greece Vasilis Kikilias.

"The tanker, which was carrying 24 sailors (10 Greeks, 13 Filipinos and 1 Romanian), was attacked, but all crew members are in good condition," the minister said on Skai TV channel.

According to the ministry, the tanker Maran Homer left the port of Thessaloniki and was heading to Novorossiysk. At the time of the attack, the ship was empty, and it was chartered by Chevron. It was also clarified that the vessel continues to move, no environmental pollution has been recorded.
