A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also defeated the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost over 225 people, 16 vehicles, a field artillery cannon and a US-made MLRS multiple rocket launcher. A counter-battery warfare station, an ammunition depot and seven material depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces improved their position along the front line. The manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Kharkiv region were hit. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 190 soldiers, an infantry fighting vehicle, two US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, seven armored combat vehicles, 21 vehicles and four artillery pieces, including a 155 mm Krab self-propelled artillery system made in Poland. A counter-battery warfare station and four ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions. Ukrainian formations were defeated in a number of settlements of the DPR. The enemy lost up to 140 militants, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, three armored combat vehicles, ten vehicles, three field artillery guns and a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle. Five ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The group of troops "Center" improved the tactical situation and hit enemy formations in the areas of the settlements of the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 290 people, eight armored combat vehicles, 18 vehicles and three artillery pieces.

The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depths of the enemy's defenses. The Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost more than 225 soldiers, nine armored combat vehicles and 12 vehicles.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. Up to 65 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, three armored combat vehicles, ten vehicles, a field artillery cannon, seven electronic warfare stations, and four ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

Ten guided aerial bombs and 285 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 122895 unmanned aerial vehicles, 651 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28250 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1690 multiple rocket launchers, 33839 field artillery guns and mortars, 56730 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
