Tuberculosis, diseases caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), behavioral disorders, and sexually transmitted diseases are not treated under the compulsory health insurance (CHI) program. This was announced on March 14 by the head of the All-Russian Union of Insurers (VSS) Evgeny Ufimtsev.

"The compulsory medical insurance program currently does not include the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases caused by the immunodeficiency virus, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, tuberculosis, behavioral disorders and a number of others," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
