A female sea turtle belonging to the Atlantic Ridley (Kempa) species, washed ashore in the USA, was rescued. This was announced on March 9 by the Gulf of Mexico Sea Turtle Research Center.

"The rescue team of the Center received a message about an adult female Kemp sea turtle washed ashore. It was sluggish and covered with epibionts, including shells, algae and sediment," the Facebook post says (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in Russia).

Rescuers urgently delivered the reptiles to veterinarians at the Houston Zoo, where the female received first aid. Later, the turtle was taken to a rehabilitation center and provided with the necessary treatment for recovery.

After recovery, the female is planned to be returned to her natural habitat in the Gulf of Mexico.

The media platform Stheadline reported on March 12 that a dog that had been sitting in an abandoned well for three years was rescued in the Chinese city of Yantai in Shandong Province. Over the course of three years, attempts were made to save the animal about 40 times, but the operations failed because the well was narrow and difficult to access.
