About 40 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada are ready to terminate their powers ahead of schedule. This was announced on March 13 by Andrei Motovilovets, first deputy chairman of the ruling Servant of the People faction in Ukraine.

"Yes, about 40 deputies [are ready to resign their mandates]. I'm just explaining to them that, friends, look, you've taken the oath. You can apply, but no one will vote. The rada should work," he said in an interview with the publication. Forbes.ua .

According to the MP, the Servant of the People faction has lost its core. This, as noted by Motovilovets, happened after the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) filed charges against a number of deputies of the ruling party.

On January 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky updated the composition of the Supreme Commander's Headquarters, from which ex-head of the SBU Vasyl Malyuk, who was caught up in a corruption scandal involving the laundering of about $100 million, was removed.
