US President Donald Trump wants to resolve the conflict in Ukraine in order to resume trade. This was announced on March 13 by American Vice President J. D. Vance.

"As for Russia and Ukraine: the US president has made it clear that he wants to stop <...>. He wants to return to trade [with Russia]," Vance said in North Carolina, broadcast on the White House YouTube channel.
