Three football players of the St. Petersburg amateur club RV Challenge (Third League) were suspended from any football activity for five years for organizing a match-fixing. This was announced on March 13 on the website of the RFU Control and Disciplinary Committee (KDK).

Denis Cherkasov, Artur Pilipchuk and Kirill Rogov were suspended for five years. The incident occurred during the match 1/256 of the Russian Cup final of the current season, in which the "RV Challenge" lost to the St. Petersburg "Star" with a score of 1:4.

Due to the revealed violations, the RFU annulled the result of the meeting and awarded the "RV Challenge" a technical defeat with a score of 0:3.

Earlier in the day, CSKA was fined 1 million rubles for an incident with Colombian player John Cordoba. The fine was due to the behavior of CSKA fans who insulted the 32-year-old striker during the Russian Premier League (RPL) Cup semi-final match.
