The United States may set up an external blockade of the Strait of Hormuz to cut off Iran's oil supplies. Retired American military analyst, Lieutenant Colonel Earl Rasmussen, told about this on Friday, March 13.

Rasmussen added that the United States could decide to send ships to escort tankers, but the American fleet could become an easy target for Iranian troops.
