More than 80 shows will be held as part of the sixth Moscow Fashion Week.

The sixth Moscow Fashion Week will be held at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall from March 14 to 19. Industry representatives will show their collections and conduct business negotiations with potential partners. This was announced by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

"This season will bring together about 300 designers from different regions of Russia and other countries, including China and Turkey. About 70 percent of the participants are metropolitan brands, including residents of the Made in Moscow program. Over 80 fashion shows will take place over the course of six days," Natalia Sergunina said.

Together with professionals, students from specialized educational institutions will take part in the shows, including the Moscow Art and Industrial Institute, the Institute of Arts of the A.N. Kosygin Russian State University, the School of Design of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the National Institute of Design.

An open market will be open in the Manege until March 19, where visitors will be able to purchase clothes, shoes and accessories of domestic brands. There will also be an AI fitting room, which will allow everyone to imagine how the images from the shows will look on it. Admission is subject to pre-registration.

A festival of themed short films will also be held as part of Moscow Fashion Week.

The event is organized by the Fashion Foundation with the support of the Moscow Government.

Participants of the previous five seasons of Moscow Fashion Week have agreed to sign contracts worth more than a billion rubles. Another important role of such an event is that it provides an additional impetus for the development of the creative sector of the economy, the manufacturing industry and other related areas.
