- Zakharova ridiculed the British Telegraph for a mistake with a photo of the Russian ambassador to Mauritius
On March 13, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova ridiculed the British newspaper The Telegraph for posting a photo in which the publication mistakenly published a photo of another woman instead of the Russian Ambassador to Mauritius, Irada Zeynalova.
"According to our information, Irada Zeynalova looks different and looks in surprise at her distorted reflection in The Telegraph newspaper. That's how it is in the Anglo—Saxon media," Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.
It turned out that the British edition published a photo from the working trip of the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Oksana Lut to Mauritius. The photo shows the Russian minister together with the Minister of Agriculture, Food Security, Blue Economy and Fisheries Arvin Bulell.
Maria Zakharova joked on January 23 that the British Embassy might send a protest note after the premiere of the play "THE ONE No. 13". Such a comment was made against the background of the premiere of the reincarnation of the Tabakov Theater performance, an interpretation of the comedy Out of order by Ray Cooney.
