Due to the warm weather, Moscow's heat supply system was switched to minimum parameters. This was announced on Friday, March 13, by the Deputy mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

According to him, the decision was made after a sharp increase in the average daily air temperature. Currently, the temperature of the coolant is maintained at the minimum required level, which allows heating hot water to the standard 60 degrees, according to the Moscow City News agency.

Biryukov explained that the off—season is considered the most difficult period for regulating heating, since the air temperature varies greatly during the day - from negative values at night to positive values during the day. In addition, the location of the building affects the feeling of warmth: it may be noticeably warmer on the sunny side.

He also noted that the adjustment of the heating system is carried out automatically under the control of the dispatching services of PJSC "MOEK" based on data from temperature sensors, writes "Moscow 24".
