- Trump has stated that the United States has no intention of attacking nuclear power plants in Iran.
The United States does not intend to strike at nuclear power plants in Iran. This was announced on March 13 by the American President Donald Trump.
"We could do some things within an hour, and you would read about how we destroy nuclear power plants or power plants that produce electricity, that provide water. <...> But we are trying to behave ourselves," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
He clarified that this is not a priority for the United States right now. According to him, the US military is focusing on "bombing their missiles and drones to hell."
The Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic to the United Nations in Geneva, Ali Bahraini, said on March 3 that after the failure of negotiations between Iran and the United States, there are no secure agreements to conduct investigations at the Iranian nuclear facilities that were attacked. He also stressed that the attacks by Israel and the United States on nuclear facilities in Iran are a violation of international law.
On March 2, the United States and Israel attacked Iran's Natanz nuclear facility twice. CNN, citing satellite images taken by Vantor, reported damage to the facility on March 3.
