The importer of Lada cars in Germany went bankrupt

Lada Automobile GmbH, which represented the Lada brand in the German market, declared bankruptcy after 25 years of operation. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on March 13.

Crisis Manager Hendrik Hirma confirmed to the publication that the activities of Lada Automobile GmbH from Buxtehude were discontinued in December 2025. It was not possible to find a buyer for the company, which had been experiencing financial difficulties for some time.

"One of the reasons for the bankruptcy was the sharp drop in sales in recent years," explained Hirma.

The Lada brand withdrew from the European market in 2019, due to stricter environmental regulations. By the end of that year, 44 employees remained at Lada Automobile GmbH. In 2024, only 33 new Lada cars were registered in Germany, the note notes.
