- Moscow Fashion Week will bring together about 300 designers from Russia and other countries
The sixth Moscow Fashion Week starts on Saturday, March 14, at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall. According to Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital, by March 19, industry representatives will present their collections to a wide audience and hold business negotiations with potential partners.
"This season will bring together about 300 designers from different regions of Russia and other countries, including China and Turkey. About 70% of the participants are metropolitan brands, including residents of the Made in Moscow program. Over 80 fashion shows will be held within six days," Sergunina said.
The shows will be attended not only by professional designers, but also by students of specialized educational institutions, including the Moscow Art and Industrial Institute, the Institute of Arts of the A.N. Kosygin Russian State University, the School of Design of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the National Institute of Design.
An open market will be open in the Manege until March 19, where you can buy clothes, shoes and accessories of domestic brands. An AI fitting room will also be placed here — it will allow anyone to imagine how the images from the shows will look on it.
Lectures will also be held as part of the event. Experts will talk about current trends, the relationship between fashion and culture, and the development of the industry as a whole.
The event is organized by the Fashion Foundation with the support of the Moscow government. The terms of the visit and the schedule can be found on the official website.
