In Stavropol, a construction company is suspected of fraud in installing light panels at a gas station. The damage is estimated at over 13 million rubles. A criminal case was opened against the company.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service for the Stavropol Territory, the investigation found that the head of the manufacturing and construction company executing the contract provided deliberately false information about the work performed on the installation of information steles. The customer was an oil and gas company.

The deception was revealed during the acceptance of the work. At two gas stations, equipment was installed on racks of quality that did not meet the terms of the contract. The certificates indicated expensive details of multimedia screens. In fact, they were not used.

Two criminal cases have been opened against the director of the contractor company. He is accused of fraud and attempted fraud.

Earlier, on March 9, it was reported that a court in Moscow had arrested the former deputy director for procurement and logistics of the Kalashnikov concern, who is accused of fraud on an especially large scale in the execution of a state defense order for the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The accused has been arrested and is in one of the capital's pre-trial detention centers. The person involved may face up to 10 years in prison.
