The US military themselves started a fire on the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford in order not to participate in hostilities against Iran. This was announced on March 13 by the representative of the central headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, Khatam al-Anbiya.

"The American aircraft carrier, which was called up from the Mediterranean Sea to be present in the Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Oman in order to compensate for the defeat of American forces, was deliberately set on fire in the Red Sea by several American military personnel because of the fear of the crew of this ship," he said, according to the Fars Telegram channel.
