The Tolyatti enterprise Polad has launched the production of automotive mastics and adhesives at a production site in Otradnoye, Samara region. The materials are used in the assembly process of such domestic cars as Lada, UAZ and Gazelle. This is stated in the message of the Industrial Development Fund (EDF), which was received by Izvestia on March 13.

The company plans to produce up to 1.5 thousand tons of mastics and up to 80 tons of adhesives per year. It is noted that mainly domestic raw materials are used in their manufacture, the localization level exceeds 80%. The products are used to fasten automotive parts and components, increase airtightness, sound insulation, as well as ensure the vehicle's resistance to temperature fluctuations and exposure to chemicals. After reaching its design capacity, Polad plans to occupy up to 25% of the market, replacing some of the imports.

Currently, the share of imports in the automotive mastics and adhesives segment of the Russian market, according to the company, is about 70%. Previously, the main suppliers were enterprises located in the Russian Federation, but controlled from Switzerland and Germany.

Togliatti automotive adhesives and mastics can be used in the production of Lada Vesta, Granta, Niva, Iskra, UAZ Patriot, UAZ Pickup, UAZ Hunter, Gazelle City, GAZ Sobol and other passenger cars and special trucks. The products are also supplied to Automotive Industrial Technologies, which has organized the production of JAC T6, T8 Pro and T9 pickups.

The total investment amounted to about 184 million rubles. Of these, about 136 million rubles were provided by the Federal Reserve Fund under the special program "Automotive Components". Last year, Polad launched the production of small stamped parts for Lada Largus cars in Tolyatti (300 million rubles of investments, of which 215 million rubles from FRP).

In February, KAMAZ launched the production of bridges for K3 and K5 generation trucks in Naberezhnye Chelny. FRP provided KAMAZ with a preferential loan in the amount of 5 billion rubles at a rate of 1% per annum for the creation of production. Mastering the production of axles for the new generation of the K5 truck family makes it possible to replace the import of these complex units. All of their key components are also of Russian origin.
