Lukashenko promised the harshest response to attempts to organize riots in Belarus
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said on March 13 that the authorities would give the harshest response to any attempts to destabilize the situation in the country, similar to the events of 2020.
Ivan Tertel, chairman of the State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus, said on December 24 last year that journalist Roman Protasevich had informed the security forces about the scenarios of the 2020 opposition protests and the creation of "subversive centers." He clarified that Protasevich had reported on who would act, regulate, and where it was planned to do something.
