Blagoveshchensk – Heihe cable car is 97% ready%
A cable car is under construction in the Amur Region, which will connect Blagoveshchensk with the Chinese town of Heihe. The Chinese developer estimates the readiness of the facility at 97%. The launch, according to preliminary data, is planned this summer.
Maxim Nozhenkin, the head of the ANO International Center for Business Cooperation, posted on his Telegram channel a photo and video taken at the Chinese terminal of a cross-border cable car.
As explained by PriamurMedia news agency, Nozhenkin previously served as deputy mayor of Blagoveshchensk. He worked on the development of the concept of the Blagoveshchensk–Heihe cross-border agglomeration. He noted that Blagoveshchensk and Heihe will soon receive the world's first cross-border cable car.
On March 6, tickets for the floating cargo and passenger pontoon bridge between Blagoveshchensk and Chinese Heihe appeared on online sale. The sale was launched by the international transportation operator Amurasso. Now you don't have to come to the international bus station twice and stand in line, as before. To purchase a ticket, you need to visit the website. The purchase will be available until the end of March. This can also be done at the ticket offices of the Amurasso bus station.
Construction of the road began under an intergovernmental agreement in 2015. The first rope was stretched in September 2025 at an altitude of 70 m above the Amur River. The length of the route is 976 m. Two cabins with 110 seats will be launched on two lines. The journey time will be 6 minutes. After the launch of the road, the tourist flow in the Golden Mile cluster should increase threefold.
