Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. "As a result of the active offensive actions of the units of the Southern Group of Forces, the Golubovka settlement of the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated. Formations of five mechanized, motorized infantry, airmobile, assault, mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a marine brigade were defeated. During the week, more than 1,245 servicemen, three tanks, and 29 armored combat vehicles were lost in the area of responsibility of the Southern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

During the week, as a result of decisive actions by units of the North group of forces, control was established over the settlement of Chervonaya Zarya in the Sumy region. In total, the enemy lost more than 1,665 soldiers, a tank, 12 armored combat vehicles, 107 vehicles and 16 field artillery pieces in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces.

Over the past week, units of the Zapad group of forces have improved their tactical situation. The enemy's losses in this area amounted to over 1,285 military personnel, two tanks, 29 armored combat vehicles, 114 vehicles and 17 field artillery pieces. The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. In total, the enemy lost over 2,325 soldiers, three tanks, 46 armored combat vehicles, 74 vehicles and 14 field artillery pieces in this area.

Over the past week, units of the Vostok group of forces have advanced into the depths of the enemy's defenses. The losses of the Ukrainian armed formations in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces amounted to more than 2,130 military personnel, 27 armored combat vehicles, 42 vehicles and 13 artillery pieces.

Over the past week, units of the Dnepr group of forces have improved their tactical situation. In total, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 495 military personnel, four armored combat vehicles, 108 vehicles and four field artillery guns in this area.

Over the past week, an Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force, six multiple launch rocket systems, including a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket launcher, an American MLRS multiple launch rocket launcher and two combat vehicles were destroyed by unmanned aerial vehicles, rocket troops and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Vampire multiple launch rocket systems are Czech-made. The Russian Air Force shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force.

Air defense systems shot down two UK-made Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles, 30 guided aerial bombs, 33 US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket launchers and 2,650 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed a crewless boat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 122610 unmanned aerial vehicles, 651 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28216 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1687 multiple rocket launchers, 33821 field artillery and mortars, 56635 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
