In Khabarovsk, customs officers stopped an attempt to export cultural treasures from the Russian Empire from the country. In the "green" corridor, inspectors stopped a tourist en route to China.

An X-ray machine found 44 copper coins, 76 crosses and six miniature icons in his suitcase. The man himself claimed that these were gifts from his friend for his own collection.

It has been established that the coins were made about 100 years ago, and the crosses and icons were made more than 50 years ago. The export of cultural property is possible only if there are permits and a passenger customs declaration is completed.

The items were seized and an administrative case was opened on non-declaration of goods. The issue of initiating proceedings for non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions is being resolved. The sanctions of the articles provide for a fine and confiscation of goods, IA AmurMedia writes.

Earlier it was reported that the Khabarovsk police detained an attacker who was transporting drugs hidden in slow cookers. An employee of one of the illegal online stores selling illegal substances received parcels with slow cookers in which his accomplices hid drugs at the branch of a logistics company in the city of Khabarovsk. Three accomplices were also involved in the scheme, who were engaged in obtaining prohibited substances through marketplaces, as well as the most effective disguise of drugs in household appliances.
