The Kremlin is not afraid that the United States, due to its involvement in the conflict with Iran, will take a back seat to resolving the situation in Ukraine. This was announced on March 13 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"No, there are no such concerns at the moment. Our contacts with American counterparts do not give grounds for such doubts. We continue to highly appreciate the willingness of the United States to provide mediation services in the search for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis," Peskov said.

When asked about a new round of trilateral talks, the Kremlin representative noted that there were no specific agreements on the date and place yet.

"We hope that the next round will take place, but so far we have nothing to report," he added.
