Europe's political leaders have lost their common sense. They want to drag the entire continent into a war against a nuclear superpower, which means an absolutely invincible war. This was announced on March 12 by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Peter Szijjarto.

"In Europe, at least in its western part, political leaders have simply lost their common sense. <...> And they want to drag the entire continent into a war against a nuclear superpower, which means an unnecessary, hopeless and absolutely invincible war," Szijjarto said, speaking at the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust..

He added that Hungary's duty is to prevent military destruction, and therefore Hungary does not finance the sending of weapons to Ukraine and military assistance to it.

On March 11, Szijjarto called attempts to attack the infrastructure of the Turkish Stream from Ukraine a gross violation of Hungarian sovereignty. He noted that it should not be allowed to encroach on the energy well-being of the country.

On the same day, Szijjarto said that Ukraine was experiencing hysteria and panic after Hungary refused to agree on an EU loan of €90 billion. He also criticized European politicians for talking about the Ukrainian conflict as their own. According to him, this view is erroneous.

On March 7, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on bilateral relations between Ukraine and Hungary, said that the Ukrainian authorities could only blackmail and demand, and were not ready to talk about compromises.
