Russian tourists will receive full money for their disrupted holidays in the Middle East. This was announced on March 12 by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

"Tourists will receive money for the disrupted vacation in full, and companies will be able to use the funds of personal responsibility funds and receive a three—month deferral in contributions," he is quoted as saying on the agency's website.

Reshetnikov also added that the damage to Russian tour operators due to the conflict in the Middle East is estimated at 7 billion rubles.

Earlier in the day, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that an order had been signed to compensate tourists who had suffered losses as a result of the conflict in the Middle East. The Prime Minister added that tour operators should prepare the relevant documents.

On March 9, the Russian Ministry of Transport reported that more than 45,000 passengers had arrived in Russia from the Middle East over the past week. According to the agency, the schedule of commercial transportation has been formed up to and including March 10. There are plans to bring home more than 7.5 thousand passengers from the Middle East to Russia on 33 flights.
