The average price of a used car in Russia has shown a record result in six months

In February 2026, the average price of a used passenger car exceeded the mark of 1.4 million rubles for the first time in the last six months. This was announced on March 12 by the analytical agency Autostat.

According to the agency's calculations, according to the results of the last winter month, the average price of a used car in the Russian Federation was 1.42 million rubles.

Over the past few years, the average price of used cars in the country has exceeded 1.4 million rubles, but in September 2025 it fell below this value. Then, from October 2025 to January 2026, it was between 1.36 million and 1.39 million rubles.

Experts noted that the average price in February was 3.7% less than a year ago (1.48 million rubles in February 2025), but compared to January of this year it increased by 2.3% higher than in January of this year (1.39 million rubles).

Earlier that day, experts reported that by the end of February 2026, the average cost of a used foreign car (excluding Chinese cars) in Russia returned to the level of a year ago and reached 2.35 million rubles. The average price of a domestic car was 729 thousand rubles.
