Spring care of green spaces has begun in Sevastopol

In Sevastopol, spring work began on the maintenance of greenery in the square of the Shipbuilder Butoma. This is necessary to support plants after winter and prepare for the new season, the press service of the Parks and Squares organization reported.

Within a few days, workers will form boreholes, which will help moisture to linger at the roots, rather than spreading over the territory.

The gardeners will also remove damaged and dry branches, form tree crowns and carry out rejuvenating pruning. These procedures stimulate the growth of young shoots and give the plants a neat appearance.

According to experts, although the winter turned out to be cold, the trees and shrubs in the park survived it safely. This became possible due to the preparation of the plants for wintering last autumn.

As noted by IA SevastopolMedia, the flower beds on Nakhimov Square and in Heroes of the Soviet Union Square had already been put in order in the city.

In early March, it was reported that primroses had already bloomed in the forests near Sevastopol. With the first warm rays of the sun, snowdrops, crocuses, undergrowth, and the Crimean lumbago appeared.
