- Zakharova explained Kiev's irritation over the development of Crimea as part of Russia
Representatives of the Kiev regime are "infuriated" by the development of Crimea, as they themselves have not done such actions in relation to this republic. This was announced on Thursday, March 12, at a briefing by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"We know why they are doing this (the development of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation. — Ed.) It's so annoying. Because they — I mean the Kiev regime and those who stood behind it <...> were developing — if you can even use this word — the region on a residual basis, pitting people against each other," she said.
Ukraine and its associates did not invest in the "truly unique" Crimea, as the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry added, "neither finances nor soul." She clarified that the Kiev regime was doing everything possible to separate the residents of the republic not only from the common cultural space with the Russian Federation, but also from their relatives.
"Today we can confidently say that Crimea has once again taken its rightful place among the regions of Russia, bringing benefit and joy to its residents and guests," Zakharova said.
According to her, Moscow sees Kiev's "malicious aggression" and its hatred, which it is trying to embody in terrorist acts. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that Russia will overcome both this and other challenges.
Zakharova, commenting on the statements of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about his assessment of the inhabitants of Crimea as "inhuman beings," once again pointed to the neo-Nazi rhetoric of the Kiev authorities.
