Experts named the period of possible use of the car in carsharing
Delimobil carsharing has extended the car's service life to eight to nine years. Natalia Borisova, the financial director of the company, told Izvestia about this on March 12.
"We had doubts that the car would survive in carsharing for five years. Then we extended it to six years, then to seven years. The car's service life has now been extended to eight to nine years. Of course, when the market stabilizes in terms of prices, maybe we will sell our cars earlier. But we are absolutely confident that we will be able to use them for such a period," she said.
The car works in Moscow for the first four years, and then goes to the regions, Borisova explained. According to the top manager, Delimobil has experience using Chinese cars since 2023.
"Our experience is good because we really know these cars from the inside, because we have our own car repair base. We clearly understand which brands are of higher quality and which are of lower quality. All our Chinese cars show a very good unit economy. They are in great demand by our customers because the car is modern and there is no doubt that we will use this car for a long time," Borisova said.
In turn, Vincenzo Trani, CEO of Delimobil, said that the company is interested in cars localized in Russia, as they do not experience problems with spare parts and their update cycle is not as frequent as that of cars imported from China.
Also on March 12, it became known that for the period 2025, the revenue of the Delimobil carsharing service increased by 11% according to international financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Compared to 2024, the profit reached 30.8 billion rubles. At the same time, EBITDA decreased by 3% to 6.18 billion rubles. Thus, revenue from car sales in 2025 has more than tripled compared to the previous year.
