In Stavropol, eight fortresses of the Azov-Mozdok defensive line, founded in 1777 by decree of Catherine II, may appear in the form of art installations. This is reported by the press service of the Tersk Cossack army.

The facilities are planned to be located in settlements where fortresses were once located. Among them are Stavropol, Novopavlovsk, Georgievsk and the village of Maryinskaya, where the remains of fortifications are best preserved.

According to Denis Konovalov, one of the authors of the project, the created spatial compositions can show the internal structure of the fortress, military equipment, people and animals.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, the workshop already has experience working with historical subjects: it was here that the monument to Suvorov was created at the Stavropol airport and the bas-relief of the commander on the facade of the terminal.
